Abusive Instructor
Dr. Dallas has been accused of being an abusive instructor. This simply is not the case. If he was a abusive as the cyber hate group has led everyone to believe then why does he have 30 black sash under him ranging from 16 to 54 years of age. Konigun is a full contact art taught on a practical contact level. This means that, yes, practitioners will get occasional bumps, bruises, cuts, and scrapes that come with the "territory." Konigun also teaches awareness. Once a student earns their black sash their training tempo increases. It is not uncommon at a camp for instructors to participate in a friendly game of "ninja-tag." This is an honest attempt to keep you prepared for the unexpected attack. There are rules to the game and eventually someone is caught completely off guard and receives that "breath-taking" strike.
In sparring Konigun teaches you safety and honesty. Students spar with full protective gear as they learn their striking range and control. As students graduate up in the ranks and become black sash the padded areas of the body lessen. Black sash eventually graduate to only head pads with face shields. This gradual progression of pad loss allows participants to become use to the pain of impacts to the body so that they are not caught completely off guard should they be attacked, because, yes, fighting hurts. Sparring pads will lessen the pain from an impact and what might feel like a good technique with pads on could result in self injury without pads. It is Konigun's goal to eliminate this false sense of security for its practitioners.
As control is established the head pad is removed and "strawberry" sparring is established. If you have to be mindful of impacts to the entire body then you must develop strategy in your attack and not simple charge in thinking, "I don't care if I get punched in the face. It's padded."
These above stated tactics taught by Dr. Dallas are the truthful basis for the false allegations of abuse. This cyber hate group is the first to fabricate allegations of abuse since Dr. Dallas began teaching in 1982.
