Shidoshi's Mindset

In the days of yesterday, I have taken notice that Konigun Ninjutsu is liken to that of the steel that is forged for a sword. The steel is struck over and over by the smith's hammer. The steel vibrates both inside and outside with each blow from the hammer yet the steel is not made weak, but stronger, for the impurities of the steel are driven out, allowing the steel to bond tighter. Konigun has suffered both internal and external blows but still only grows stronger, wiser, more experienced and the only losses are the impurities. The Holy Bible in Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…" only with impurities removed, and then there is room to grow wiser, more knowledgeable.

In the writing of the Constitution of Konigun we adopt Noah Webster's view of the U.S. Constitution and we quote Noah Webster, "The moral principles and percepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible."

I as the director of Konigun believe there should exist a way to compel the future director to keep within the Constitution of Konigun. Therefore, I am commissioning a Board of Elders (the Kageshu) to safe guard the affairs of Konigun. Our forefathers in the United States of America also wisely knew that the U.S. Constitution would be utterly worthless to restrain government legislators unless it was clearly understood that the people had the right to compel the government to keep within the Constitutional limits.

Do not let the scorn from other people change Konigun. I have seen Konigun called an occult organization, a cult, and many other things. Remember Konigun is a Christian martial art, therefore keep to the path. Remember this quote; "Those people who are not governed by God will be ruled by tyrants." William Penn.

The engraved plague at the naval War College has a quote by Goethe, "There is nothing more terrifying than ignorance in action." Therefore before anyone is permitted as a Black Sash, Elder, or Shidoshi, that person must be well studied on the Konigun Ninjutsu Constitution. Then once studied on the Konigun Constitution, it is a duty to act. Edmund Burke (1729-1797) stated, "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." However, Isaiah 10:1-2, "Woe to those who decree unjust statutes and to those who continually record unjust decisions, to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor of my people of their rights…"

Therefore, I pray that all of these members of Konigun will always seek to achieve an honorable justice while maintaining the Konigun Constitution, be that which brings kindness and always be true to the fellowship of Konigun.

With Loving Respect,
